Assessing a Genre-Based Approach to Online Government Information

In this work we take some first steps to explore the potential value of a genre based approach to improving access to online government information. We report on an analysis of the GOC Type metadata element and controlled taxonomy of genre types in use in the Canadian e-government domain. Dans cette recherche, nous effectuons les premieres etapes de l’exploration de la valeur potentielle d’une approche basee sur le genre et concue pour ameliorer l’acces a l’information gouvernementale en ligne. Nous presentons une analyse des elements de metadonnees et des genres d’une taxinomie controlee utilises dans le domaine du gouvernement en ligne du Canada.
