Artificial intelligence is the hot topic of research recently and pattern identification is one of the important aspects. For human recognition, gait recognition is a novel popular way for its advantages in remote surveillance. This paper gives the present methods of gait recognition in walking information acquiring, feature extraction and recognition. In the end, future development outlook is given.
