Military-civilian collaboration in trauma care and the senior visiting surgeon program.

Moore 他、 コロラド大学Denver Health Medical Center 外科 NEJM Dec27, 2007 西伊豆早朝カンファランス H20. 1. 明らかなテロの脅威と最近の自然災害から、民間と軍の協力システムが今後ますます必要になってきた。1998 年米国会計検査院は軍医達が外傷のトレーニングを受けていないというレポートを出した。というのも軍の病院が普段対象とするのは健康な兵士と家族、退役軍人だからだ。この為、軍医達に都市部の一線の救急病院でトレーニングを受けるよう勧告が出された。これに基づき1999 年ヒューストンのBen Taub General Hospital に軍のJoint Trauma Training Center、続いて国防省により6ヶ所のtraining sitesが設立された。 これらの施設で軍の外科医に最先端の外傷ケア(damage-control surgery や止血に対し rFⅦa: recombinant activate factor Ⅶの使用など)が教育される。 また米国外傷外科学会などの協力により軍への上級外科医派遣(senior visiting surgeons)プログラムが始まった。 これはドイツのLandstuhl Regional Medical Center に2から4週間、一般病院の外科医を派遣し軍医たちと交流させるものである。
