Study of image segmentation methods and their applications

The research progress and applications of image segmentation methods in recent years are introduced.At first,image segmentation methods are classified into four typical types,and their characteristics are analyzed.Secondly,image segmentation methods combined special theoretics tools are introduced.Thirdly,recent applications of image segmentation are introduced.Finally,some remarks on the further research and directions of image segmentation are presented.
