In a Coke Plant, four associated coke oven machines are used for Charging Car, Pusher Car, Transfer Car, Locomotive. at first time, Each Coke oven Machine has been driven by boarded operators respectively. But, a working environment was very poor because of high temperature, severe dust, gas leak. A most of operator has avoided operation of coke oven machine, Recently, POSCO has developed technology that can be operated by unmanned coke oven machine. The feature of the automation system for Coke oven machine is described in this paper.
