A structured conceptual and terminological framework for software process engineering

The importance of a clear conceptual and terminological framework for software process engineering and the shortcomings of previous clarification attempts are discussed. A first issue of such a framework is described, focusing on the general universe of discourse, on software process models, on the metaprocess which handles software process models, and on process-centered software engineering environments which interpret enforcement-oriented software process models.<<ETX>>
