Numerical Simulation of Gun Muzzle Flow Field Including Movable Boundary

Muzzle flow field is unsteady multiphase flow field with strong wave interrupt and exquisite chemical reaction.By using unstructured dynamic grid based on local remeshing method,the variation of grid caused by projectile movement was analyzed.Numerical computation results of gun muzzle flow field which arranged in time was obtained.The creation process of the complex flow field of gun muzzle was described.The numerical simulation of flow field including moving projectile was achieved.The result indicates that while affecting flow field of gun muzzle,the projectile is also affected by the flow field at initial period of firing,and the velocity of projectile increases.After crossing blast wave,shock wave appears on projectile head,and the velocity of projectile decreases.The result of numerical computation agree with that of experiment,which shows that the method is feasible.
