Apparatus and method of picture data offering service with waiting for calling answer

PURPOSE: A device for supplying a video data service while waiting for a call connection is provided to enable a receiver to supply preset video data to an originator until the receiver responds to a call transmitted by the originator, so that the originator can less feel a boredom of waiting for the response. CONSTITUTION: A service supply server(150) retrieves whether a number of a receiving terminal(110a) is registered in a video data supply service during a call waiting state, by using call origination information transmitted from base stations(121). The service supply server(150) prepares the video data in multimedia message type, and transmits the video data to an MMS(Multimedia Messaging Service) server(140). The MMS server(140) transmits the multimedia message to an originating terminal(110b) through a WAP gateway(130). The originating terminal(110b) displays the video data included in the multimedia message on a screen while a call is connected.
