Design, analysis and realization of SVPWM using embedded code generation technique for a three phase, two level inverter

In a last few decades, development in power electronics systems has created its necessity in industrial and domestic applications like electric drives, UPS, solar and wind power conversion and many more. This paper presents the design, simulation, analysis and fabrication of a three phase, two-level inverter. The Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) technique is used for the generation of gating signals for the three phase inverter. The proposed work is about real time embedded code generation technique that can be implemented using any microprocessor or microcontroller board of choice. The proposed technique reduces the analogue circuitry and eliminates the need of coding for generation of pulses, thereby making it simple and easy to implement. Control structure of SVPWM is simulated in MATLAB Simulink environment for analysis of different parameters of inverter. Comparative analysis of simulation results and hardware results is presented which shows that embedded code generation technique is very reliable and accurate.
