Network simulation with lookup tables from physical layer replay simulations: A KAM11 example

A network simulation method with a lookup table based physical layer model is applied to underwater acoustic communication channels measured during the KAM11 experiment. The lookup tables are built using a validated replay-based physical layer simulation method, which offers high realism but requires measurements of time-varying impulse response at a variety of source-receiver distances. Example network simulation results for a reduced flooding protocol with or without retransmissions are presented.
