Extended Crossed Cube: An Improved Fault Tolerant Interconnection Network

This paper introduces a new fault tolerant interconnection topology called extended crossed cube (ECQ). The proposed topology is hierarchical, expansive and recursive in nature. It has reduced diameter, average distance and constant degree of nodes. The paper illustrates various other properties of the proposed systems, such as fault-tolerance, reliability message traffic density, message routing, broadcasting, cost, cost effectiveness factor and time-cost-effectiveness factor.
