Study on heat treatment process of new type Martensitic wear resistant steel

The quenching, partitioning and temper process (Q-P-T process) and the quenching and temper process (Q-T process) are carried out to the self-developed new type martensitic wear resistant steel ADVANS 450W(?). The volume fraction of retained austenite in steel ADVANS 450W(?) is measured by using X-ray diffraction, the microstructure is analyzed by scanning electron microscope (SEM), the grain size is analyzed by optical metallographic microscope(LOM), and mechanical properties are investigated. As a result, the microstructure of steel ADVANS 450W(?) is fine and uniform during austenitizing at 900℃,good comprehensive mechanical properties are obtained after Q-T process and Q-P-T process, the hardness of steel ADVANS 450W(?) treated by Q-P-T process is similar well, but it's intensity is decreased a little, and the impact toughness is improved greatly than those treated by Q-T process.
