The invention provides an image processing method and electronic equipment. The image processing method is applied to the electronic equipment and is used for detecting the first operation body of an operator of the electronic equipment. The image processing method comprises the following steps of: obtaining an object image; detecting at least one first operation body in the object image; determining the direction of each of at least one first operation bodies in the object image; and determining the first operation body of which the direction in the object image meets a first condition as the first operation body of the operator of the electronic equipment. According to the image processing method and the electronic equipment, the first operation body of the operator of the electronic equipment can be correctly detected accurately from the image object without complex modeling operation, and the operation expenditure of the electronic equipment is lowered.
