A Cognitive Approach to the Description of the Polysemy of Prepositions

In the present study, the author, by using a cognitive approach, investigated the cognitive semantic structures of the polysemy of prepositions and took ”in” and ”over” as examples to describe the different senses of polysemous prepositions in order to give a different perspective to analyze polysemous prepositions instead of the former traditional view of lexical definition.
