Analysis and Measures for Local Structure Collapse of Some Seawall in Tianjin Binhai New Area

Slime mud foundation is always treated by laying horizontal sand bedding and inserting vertical plastic drain boards in offshore seawall construction of Tianjin Binhai New Area.In the case,natural foundation drain and consolidation are speed-up and foundation bearing capacity was improved.As for some seawall project,partial sand bedding is replaced by fine sand,which results in local structure collapse in construction.The project is taken as an example to analyze the factors that cause seawall structure collapse in detail,summarize experiences and lessons.The above will provide the reference for the similar projects.
