Generalized axisymmetric elastodynamic analysis by boundary element method

The boundary element formulation for three-dimensional problems of steady state (periodic) dynamic analysis has been cast into the generalized axisymmetric form by expressing the boundary tractions and displacements in terms of a Fourier series expansion. The resulting formulation has been developed for the dynamic analysis of axisymmetric geometries subjected to non-axisymmetric loading. The analysis has been implemented in a large general purpose analysis capable of analysing both finite as well as semi-infinite domains and a series of examples has been shown to demonstrate the versatility of the implementation.
