Performance Evaluation of Qos Reliability between Angular Scheme and Coordinate Scheme in MANETs

The task of finding and sustaining routes in mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETS) is an important factor in determining the efficiency of any MANET protocol. MANET characteristically comprises of wireless mobile hosts whose communication with each other is devoid of any fixed infrastructure. Absence of fixed infrastructures and host mobility thus constitute frequent unpredictable topological views. Positional information thus serves as important attribute in the development of location aided routing (LAR)protocol aimed at delivering packets to different nodes participating in the network. We have proposed two major extensions to the traditional LAR scheme aimed at improving the operation of the protocol via: (i.) reducing the delay in the scheme and redefinition of the forwarding zones from source to intermediate nodes and (ii.) reducing the computing cost of mobile nodes for improved packets delivery by modification of the use of assessment delay (AD). Simulation results of the two works were presented and juxtaposed to determine the effectiveness of the duo and further assist in possible development of a hybrid protocol from their strengths.
