When analyzing and designing the aero-engine control system, which consists of the engine and controller, a reasonable and accurate mathematical model of the engine must be established. The diversified mission requirements of modem warfare have led to the emergence and continuous development of variable-cycle engine (VCE). This paper takes the double external culvert cycle engine with core drive fan stage (CDFS) as the research object. Under the premise of clarifying its working principle and basic structure, the component method is used to establish the CDFS VCE mathematical model. This paper focuses on the modeling methods of feature components, determines the common working equations in the single and double culvert working modes, and rationally selects the design point parameters and performs the steady-state and dynamic simulation. The results show that the model can work stably under normal working conditions. It provides a useful basis for the design of a VCE control system and has certain research reference value.
