Capacitive touch sensor based user-interface : Generic design considerations and development of an wearable input device

Capacitive touch sensor based input devices designs are analyzed in the context of the benefits and constraints of touch sensors for input device applications. Sensor element layouts and connectivity possibilities for improving sensing resolution and their limitations are discussed. Sensing and data processing approaches are described in the context of the development of a wearable input device named CUPID-MZ, which is primarily designed for graphical pointing applications.
