Smart Grid Sustainability Analysis Using a Geoinformation Model

The report addresses the challenge of maintaining stable operation of the Smart Grid. One of the difficulties in solving this problem is the dependence of the behavior of the Smart Grid on the state of the environment, since this description is characterized by incompleteness and uncertainty. New Smart Grid analysis tools are needed to overcome this difficulty. The paper proposes a geo-information model that evaluates and predicts the state of the Smart Grid based on spatio-temporal and semantic data on the occurrences of emergencies in the Smart Grid. It is supposed to describe the results of the expert analysis of the decisions making. An approach based on the reproduction of precedents within given boundaries is investigated. The concept of knowledge representation about permissible case transformations is proposed. A mechanism for transforming precedents using a special representation in the form of images is considered. A new set of generating algorithms as element of the geoinformation model for the Smart Grid is introduced. The quality of the analysis procedure, providing a comparison of images of situations is discussed.
