Overview of Non-contact Image Detection Technology for Pantograph-catenary Monitoring

Non-contact image detection has been applied more and more widely in the pantograph-catenary comprehensive inspection car,stationary pantograph-catenary inspection devices,mobile pantograph-catenary inspection devices and hand-held pantograph-catenary detection devices owing to its advantages of few operating troubles,good generality and easy to installation.After summarizing the latest domestic and overseas development of pantograph-catenary inspection devices,the non-contact inspection devices and intelligent image recognition algorithms were studied to look forward to the up-to-date progresses in the field of non-contact pantograph-catenary parameter recognition and faults detection.The defects of the present pantograph-catenary image recognition system were analyzed and some ideas were proposed to solve the existing problems.Suggestions were made for future research work regarding pantograph-catenary inspection devices.
