The Finite Element Analysis of Holographic Nondestructive Testing for Pressure-Containing Member

To counter representative defects in a pressure containing member,a simplified defect mechanical model is established and the relationships of the size and depth of two extreme defects, properties of material and internal pressure are calculated and discussed by use of finite element numerical method. To evlauate reliability of the calculation, the simplified defect mechanical model is also calculated by the use of Timoshenko thoery, and double exposure holographic interference experiment is made on a steel container with prefabricated defect. The results of theory and experiment indicate that the calculation of finite element analysis of the defect model possesses reasonable precision. And calculation value would be for reference during the pressure holographic nondestructive testing.
