Current-fed full-bridge voltage doubler DC-DC converter with sliding mode and flatness based controllers for PEM fuel cell

A method to control a current-fed full-bridge converter with voltage doubler and the features of dealing with the constraints of PEM fuel cell (PEMFC) as an energy power source and the voltage imbalance in the output capacitors is presented. The advantages of this control algorithm are the excellent properties in transient and steady-state responses as well as robustness. The outer control loop is controlled using flatness system's properties whereas the inner control loop is controlled using a sliding mode control. The prototype of 26 V/ 200 V 450 W and the mentioned controllers were realized using a dSPACE DS1104. The proposed control was validated via experiment results.
