영어 심리동사 습득에서 나타나는 한국인 학습자들의 중간어에 관한 연구

This study investigates how Korean learners acquire four subclasses of English psych verbs(controller subject experiencer, non-controller subject experiencer, controller object experiencer, non-controller object experiencer) with respect to the linking rule of verb meaning and argument structure in the lexicon. Three types of experiments were conducted in seventy nine university students divided into three levels of acquisition and nine foreigners as a control group. Results indicated that first, Korean learners had problems in the non-controller subject experiencer class, making errors especially with individual two verbs, fear and dread. Second, Korean learners didn’t have correct lexical representations of both controller and non-controller object experiencer classes except high-level students. Finally, even though the delayed phenomenon of acquisition appeared in the intermediate-level students there existed the logical problem of acquisition for Korean learners to acquire psych verbs of English.
