The present invention relates to a method, system and device for transferring streaming media, wherein the method includes: sending, by a streaming media server, media stream carrying priority information about the media transfer layer; receiving, by an underlying network device or a media forwarding server, the media stream and carrying out mapping processing on the priority information about the media transfer layer in the media stream according to a preset priority mapping policy; carrying out, by the underlying network device or the media forwarding server, processing on the media stream according to the priority information about the media transfer layer after the mapping processing. By using the method and system for transferring streaming media according to the present invention, the transmission quality of streaming media can be improved effectively.
