Application of Stabilizing H 2 Predictive Control to Boilers

Abstract This paper proposes a strategy for boiler control utilizing a predictive. polynomial, multivariable H 2 minimization. This method retains many of the beneficial properties of other similar schemes. such as stability propeties similar to LQ control. while directly taking into account the a priori known future reference sequence. The paper presents the full revised version of the multi-input multi-output (MIMO) H 2 predictive control law. as well as the boiler model. The application of the algorithm to the boiler model is currently being developed.
