The group control system comprises n groups of unit sub-control systems and a plurality of indoor unit controllers, wherein each unit sub-control system comprises a main unit controller and m auxiliary unit controllers. The group control system further comprises a centralized controller which is respectively connected with the input end of each main unit controller through buses I. The output end of the main unit controller of each unit sub-control system is in serial connection with the auxiliary unit controllers through buses II. The centralized controller is used for setting the on-off state and operation parameters of the main unit controllers and outputting control signals. The main unit controllers are used for receiving control commands of the centralized controller and air conditioner load parameters, setting the on-off state of the auxiliary unit controllers and outputting control signals. The auxiliary unit controllers are used for receiving the control commands to control operation of air conditioner units.
