Evolutionary-fuzzy system of safe ship steering in a collision situation at sea

Abstract In collision situation at sea the decision support system should help the operator choose and proper maneuver in and given navigational situation, teach him good habits and enhance his general intuition on how to behave in similar situation in the future. An accepted approach here is the use of multiple criterion decision problem based system. This paper is introducing a system of two computer techniques, evolutionary algorithms to marking of optimum path of passages and "fuzzy logic" to control ship after set path of passage. Introduced system has to assure safe trip of ship in each navigational conditions with regards of weather conditions and meet navigational objects of static or dynamic nature.
