Quantitative electronic analysis of chromosome autoradiographs using a television image analysing computer.

Abstract A quantitative method for analysis of chromosome autoradiographs, using a TV image analysing computer (Leitz Classimat) is described. The principle of the method is based on an integrated measurement of silver grain areas, selected by grey value discrimination. The areas are shown to be representative for the amount of radioactive substance present, and are suitable for comparison of different grain densities over chromosomes.
