USUALLY THERE IS NO RECOGNIZABLE CAUSE, ALTHOUGH IT MAY DEVELOP AS A CONSEQUENCE OF DIFFERENT KIND OF BRAIN DAMAGE , SUCH AS TRAUMA, INFECTION CEREBRAL VASCULAR DISEASE, TUMOR GROWTH AND NEUROCITERCISCOSIS IN OUR CONTRY. THIS RIVIEW IS CONCERNED ABOUT SOME RELEVANT ASPECTS OF THE EPILEPSY SUCH AS SOME BASISC CELLULAR MECHANISM ABOUT EPILEPTOGENESIS . THESE FINDINGS HAVE BEEN UNDERTAKEN FROM THE EXPERIMENTALS MODELS AND SUGGEST SOME MECHANISMS OF ACTION OF ANTICONVULSANT DRUGS THAT ARE CLINICALLY EFECTIVE IN CONTROLLING SEIZURES.
