A new timing synchronization method for low-voltage OFDM power-line communication system

A new decision criterion is proposed for timing synchronization and applied in LV OFDM power line which has realized accurate symbol synchronization. The delay and correlation algorithms as well as the new synchronization algorithm proposed are used in a realistic low voltage power line.The performances of three timing synchronization algorithms are compared.It is concluded that the proposed synchronization scheme can settle the possible misjudgment problem of modified delay and correlation algorithm and the condition that the selection margin of decision margin is small,so the algorithm is more steady and reliable.In addition,the proposed approach is advantageous to improve the selection margin of decision threshold and reduce the computation.
