Carrier aggregation for MMW inter-RAT and intra-RAT in next generation heterogeneous mobile data network based on optical domain band mapping

We propose and experimentally demonstrate a novel inter-/intra-radio-access-technology (RAT) carrier-aggregation scheme for next generation 5G heterogeneous mobile data network. The real-time standard 4G-LTE signal is carrier-aggregated with three broadband 60GHz millimeter-wave (MMW) signals based on proposed optical-domain band-mapping method.
