Enabling technologies for the customer-driven microgrid

This panel paper presents a wish list of the existing and yet-to-be-discovered techniques for enabling the next generation of the electric power microgrid, i.e., customer-driven microgrid. The concept of a customer-driven microgrid is presented along with some of the contemporary challenges to its sustainable pervasion. A brief description of the panel intended to discuss a wish list of enabling technologies and a possible roadmap toward practical implementation and sustainability of customer-driven microgrids is offered.
