Long-Haul Transmission over Coupled-Core Multicore Fibers

Coupled-core multicore fibers provide a two-fold advantage over uncoupled multicore fibers: The cores can be placed closer and smaller cores can achieve the same equivalent nonlinear performance, resulting in a significantly higher spatial density. © 2019 The Author(s)
