A target identification method in electronic whiteboard system

For the particular application in infrared camera based electronic whiteboard, a simple and rapid method of target recognition is proposed to address the conflict between accuracy and speed of identification, which is based on the pixels' sparse characteristic in gray scale distribution and space distribution. An experimental platform is built to verify the method. The method is proved to be capable of achieving a high processing speed of 70 fps under the premise of accurate identification in the worst condition and be insensitive of change of lighting condition.
