Evolving Quantum Circuits for Temporal Averaging in Bulk Quantum Computation

Temporal averaging preparation permutes all the computational basis except the first one. The problem of synthesizing quantum circuits for the preparations is expressed as a constraint integer optimization problem avoiding enormous matrix multiplications. An approach with standard genetic algorithm is also proposed. Two genome representations are presented and a fitness function is investigated. Extensive experiments show that the approach performs very well and the evolved quantum circuits are better than those provided by another literature.
