Three-Year Evaluation of the Colorado Department of Transportation's Warm-Mix Asphalt Experimental Feature on I-70 in Silverthorne, Colorado Final Report

This report presents the results of three years of testing by the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) comparing warm-mix asphalt (WMA) and a standard hot-mix asphalt (HMA). Additives used in the WMA were: Advera, Evotherm DAT, and Sasobit. Test sections of Interstate 70 in Silverthorne, Colorado were used to study rutting, cracking, and raveling. Laboratory results are also discussed including: moisture susceptibility tests, dynamic modulus tests, performance grading tests, and stability and strength tests.
