Exponentially-fitted and trigonometrically-fitted symmetric linear multistep methods for the numerical integration of orbital problems

An explicit hybrid symmetric eight-step method of algebraic order eight is presented in this Letter. Numerical results from the application to well-known periodic orbital problems show the efficiency of the new developed method.
