Developing a Conceptual Framework for UT based LCA

LCA is a methodology for evaluating and improving environmental impacts; it is well established in a theoretical way, however, has some practical problems such as 1) difficulties of transparent information acquisition from real-fields, 2) difficulty of transparent information exchange in value-chain, 3) difficulty of LCA methodology itself. Therefore, it is hard to get reliable LCI database reflecting the real situation, and derive the reliable LCA results. In this study, we propose the u-LCA concept for solving problems using ubiquitous computing technologies. To specify this, we develop the u-LCA conceptual framework by considering practical LCA problems as well as UbiDMR paradigm.
