The Design of Multiple Access Frequency Hopping Patterns.

Abstract : A technique is discussed for the design of multiple access frequency hopping patterns which will allow a number of users to communicate reliability over a limited bandwidth in the presence of doppler and timing asynchronies. The patterns are based on a subset of the Reed-Solomon codewords. They possess nearly flat ambiguity and cross-ambiguity functions and thus could be useful as discrete radar signals. In addition the structure of the patterns permits a straightforward implementation. (Author)
