A graph-aided inference browser for developing knowledge-based systems

The graphical display of the inference process may be necessary for the knowledge engineers to understand the detailed stat us at each inferring step so as to develop the knowledge-based systems easily. This paper presents a graph-aided inference browser that displays the relationship of rules and facts in the graphical form and provides several useful functions related to debugging and explanation. The inference browser presented consists of three modules, the inference knowledge module (IKM), the inference graph module(IGM), and the debugging operation module(DOM).
