Outage Analysis of Distributed Buffering Multi-Relay Selection for Cooperative Networks

To provide an effective solution for expanding the range of communications and improving the communication qualities, the distributed buffering multi-relay (DBMR) selection is investigated in cooperative networks with decode-and-forward (DF) protocol in this paper. The DBMR selection scheme equips one central management by using fibre connections. The central management is responsible for selecting and collecting the relays operation status. The best two relays which respectively are for receiving and forwarding are chosen by the mechanism of maximum summation of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Storing two data, instead of one data, into one element of a buffer one time is considered, which is different from previous studies. The theoretical expression for outage probability of maximum-sum DBMR selection is derived by using the stationary distribution of the Markov Chain (MC). The stability of the system and the quality of transmitted signals are improved by the scheme we propose. To confirm and verify the theoretical analysis, the correlative simulation results and discussion are provided at the end of this paper.
