A progress report from the SIGCHI committee on publications/communications

This is a brief report of the activities of the SIGCHI Committee on Publications/ Communications. This paper describes the circumstances that led to the establishment of the Committee, the Committee's charge, and the results of a meeting held in Boulder, Colorado on October 15, 1989. The major decision made at the Boulder meeting was to recommend the establishment of a CHI magazine. This proposal is described in a companion article by Brad Myers.
