Architectural considerations in online game services over DSL networks

In this paper, we consider architectural aspects of online games in the context of digital subscriber line (DSL) networks. We review architectural considerations in the design of networked games, with a focus on communications aspects. We provide a brief review of recent enhancements to DSL architectures and then propose an architecture to provide online game services using an application service provider (ASP) model over a DSL access network infrastructure.
