This manuscript evaluates an influence of our basic idea of a long arrow-mouse cursor and visibility of the hand on a sense of self-ownership for improving the performance of mouse manipulation. A long arrow-mouse cursor is a designed mouse cursor represented by a long arrow that starts closely at your body and ends to a target. A sense of self-ownership is a feeling of belonging to ones body. This manuscript conducts a pilot experiment to evaluate the long arrow-mouse cursor. The results show that our mouse cursor is likely to faster people to perceive a sense of self-ownership by shortening the users mental distance between the mouse cursor and the hand.
