Experimental study of extreme wind loads on tall buildings and facilities

construction of high-rise buildings and structures in Russia began in the middle of the last century; at this time were constructed so-called "seven sisters" or Stalin skyscraper in Moscow. The rapid development of the construction industry at the end of XX, the beginning of the XXI century has forced designers and architects, with much greater attention relates to the calculation of loads on the building, and in particular to the study of the impact of wind loads [1,2,6]. The estimates of Japanese experts showed that for buildings above 200 meters, the wind can be dangerous to the overall strength than the 9magnitude earthquake and wind loads on buildings higher than 75 m may be superior to 5-point earthquake [5].
