Thepaper presents application ofthegenetic algorithm andSupport Vector Machine fortherecognition oftheblood cells onthebasis ofimageofthebonemarrowaspirate. Theautomatic recognition system hasbeendeveloped andtheresults ofits numerical verification arepresented anddiscussed. Theyshowthat application ofthegenetic algorithm isapowerful tool forselection ofthediagnostic features andleads tothesignificant increase ofthe accuracy ofthewhole system.
