The Experiment Design and Preliminary Investigation for Sprag-slip Phenomena

Friction phenomena exist everywhere in daily life.In engineering practice,friction phenomena are harmful and need to be reduced,or beneficial and need to be applied.In this paper,the author's attention was focused on sprag-slip phenomenon in self-induced vibration in nonlinear dynamic system.Referring to the works of simplified mechanical models by J.J.Sinou,F.Thouverez,and L.Jezequel [1],the author designed and fabricated the experimental equipment for studying the sprag-slip phenomenon.In the experiment design,some system factors,which may have different influences on sprag-slip phenomenon,were taken into account to satisfy the requirement of the experiments.Having finished the experiment design,the author presented some elementary work for stability analysis of the sprag-slip phenomenon according to the measurement data under different system parameters.
