냉방조건시의 개별공조시스템에 의한 환기특성

The purpose of this study is to investigate ventilation characteristics in a workstation area by a personal air-conditioning system for cooling condition. A step-down tracer gas method is applied to measure local supply index and room mean ventilation effectiveness. A numerical analysis is performed to predict airflow pattern. As a result, local supply index in the workstation area is found to be increased by adding a PEM(Personal environmental module) system to UFAC(Under floor air-conditioning) system, while overall room ventilation effectiveness and total airflow rate remain the same. The angle of the PEM diffuser grill needs to be adjusted upward to increase the local supply index further. Numerical results show downward velocity vectors of the horizontal cool supply air from PEM diffuser over the breathing zone because of buoyancy force.
