Defining Ontology Specification for Personal Learning Environment Forming

The paper explores the importance of Personal Learning Environment (PLE) conceptual understanding by students; thus enabling them to build their PLEs in an effective and efficient way. A PLE conceptual model is developed based on the opinion of students form Technical University – Sofia, College of Energetics and Electronics and utilizing ontologies. The theoretically created PLE model is then compared with the specification of the Personal Learning Environment Framework (PLEF) originally designed and developed at RWTH Aachen, Germany.
